Advocates of an integrated marketing approach to developing business potential will be interested in a unique ‘pay-as-you-go' direct marketing package developed by leading database owner Thomson Directories which promotes the successful use of ‘push' and ‘pull' marketing techniques.
The ‘push' element of the package is Business Search PRO, an online service that gives access to the 2 million companies listed on the Thomson Directories database. Once registered, users are able to use any combination of search criteria to build bespoke, targeted direct mail and telesales lists. The annual subscription of £200 enables users to segment and see all the data on screen before cherry-picking the records they want to download at just 8p per basic record.
The WebFinder pay-as-you-go package uses the ‘pull' technique to drive new customers to businesses' websites and they only pay when someone clicks through to their site. WebFinder is a search engine marketing service developed by Thomson Directories to promote websites on some of the UK's top search engines, including Wanadoo, Ask Jeeves, Tiscali and Streetmap.
A cost-effective way of generating business, the WebFinder service specialises in providing relevant results to users of search engines that can be location specific as well as national. Once a business has registered with WebFinder they only pay when someone clicks through to their website, starting from as little as 10p a visit.
“Neither of these lead generating services involve the high up-front costs that some marketing techniques demand and both are highly targeted so the potential of sales leads is greater,” adds Karen Francis , Internet Channel Marketing Manager.
Business Search PRO Online can also be used as the basis for a telemarketing campaign so results can be tracked, whilst WebFinder provides the facilities to track results by individual keywords
