Leading business information supplier Thomson
Directories has teamed up with Freeserve, the UK's No.1 for
the Internet, to produce WebFinder, a new web address directory
which will be distributed free of charge to 300,000 homes
and businesses in the Central London area in December.
Designed to help Internet users quickly and easily find the
correct web addresses of potential suppliers, WebFinder will
list more than 5,000 useful web addresses broadly categorised
to reflect the most common searches carried out online.
Kendall Gordon, Marketing and Strategic Development Director
of ThomsonDirectories, said, "With this new directory,
we are trying to minimise the frustrations that searching
online can create. The user can guarantee accurate searching
and businesses in the directory will benefit from exposure
to potential users at the time they are searching."
Keith Hawkins, Freeserve's Managing Director, Marketing said,
"Freeserve stands for Freedom of the Internet
and this is another example of ways in which Freeserve can
help users make the most of all the Internet has to offer."
Earlier this year, Freeserve selected ThomsonLocal.com as
its online directory of choice.
