TDL Infospace UK, the joint venture between
Thomson Directories and Infospace.com, is to supply a UK business
directory to The Electronic Telegraph.
The directory, UK Business Finder, comprises over 2.2 million
UK business listings which can be searched by any combination
of "who", "what" and "where"
fields and will be available on The Electronic Telegraph from
the beginning of November.
Site visitors will be offered the option of accessing the
facility from the home page and relevant areas of the Electronic
Telegraph site. Banner advertising on the directory pages
is being jointly sold by TDL Infospace and the Electronic
Telegraph.
TDL Infospace UK was set up to develop tailor-made content
packages for websites and is reported to be in final discussions
with a number of other leading web operators.
According to Andrew Fisher, managing director TDL Infospace
UK: "This is the first in a series of co-branded enhancements
which we are going to be offering to the main on-line players.
The Electronic Telegraph is one of the most progressive on-line
publishers in the UK and our UK Business Finder will further
enhance their proposition to both users and advertisers."
