Thomson Local has announced that is has appointed Steve Cook as Communications Manager.  Cook joins the publisher from Norwich Union Healthcare where he was Senior Marketing Communications Manager.

Reporting to Jill Pringle, Head of Marketing, Cook is tasked with enhancing the company’s local communications, ensuring greater leverage with the marketing spend and driving consistent messaging across the brand.

I look forward to putting my mark on all external communications, improving local messaging and building on the buzz that surrounds the company.”

Commenting on the appointment, Pringle said: “We are delighted that Steve has joined us at a time when Thomson Local is being more proactive, focussed and aggressive in its communications than ever.  We are concentrating on ensuring our customers and our users are aware of our partnerships, both offline and online and showing the real return on investment that working with Thomson Local provides.”

In his spare time, Cook enjoys cycling, golf and the occasional ‘throw-from-the-oche’.
