A record breaking number of Thomson Directories employees
took part in this year’s charity golf tournament in
memory of colleague Julie Adams who lost her battle with the
heart disease cardiomyopathy at the age of 35.
Already more than £600 has been raised from the day’s
events and Thomson are confident that this will exceed last
year’s figure of £1000.
“The day was full of fun and laughter, which is how
Julie would have wanted it,” said organiser Tracy Chambers.
“We boosted funds raised from the entrance fee by imposing
fines on the many participants who really didn’t behave

The funds raised will contribute towards the
work of the Cardiomyopathy Association who are aiming to improve
the accessibility of expert advice and help for the diagnosis
and treatment of this disease which affects the heart muscle.
