Hidden talents were revealed on Thursday
as employees at Thomson Directories tried their hand at very
different skills during National Learning at Work Day.
Inspired by the Training & Development
Team, who organised hourly sessions throughout the day, employees
experimented with cartoon drawing, line dancing – back
by popular demand, keyboard yoga and Spanish lessons.
National Learning at Work Day aims to boost motivations and
working relations, and in 2002 over 4000 organisations took
part.
“Last year's Learning at Work Day was a huge
success, employees had the chance to try something new and show
other colleagues their hidden talents” commented
Sherry Bradley, IT and General Development Trainer at Thomson.
“It demonstrates more than anything that learning
is fun and should be an important part of our everyday lives”.
