The Thomson Directories Database Quality Management System has been certified to the ISO 9001:2000 standard – the international standard for quality management that is accepted around the world. This certification is testament to Thomson's quality control system and processes to ensure the maintenance and delivery of accurate, up-to-date business information.

The procedures involved in achieving this international standard are intense and rigorous requiring independent auditor assessment of systems and procedures over a period of six months.

The Thomson Directories Database, containing over 2 million business listings, is one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date and highest quality databases in the UK , delivering a service that is totally driven by quality management and control.

Compliance with the Data Protection Act and other relevant regulations demands a continuous updating process that Thomson Directories as a major data supplier, must be able to satisfy. Over 8,000 verification calls are made daily to ensure the accuracy of information is maintained.

Sam Gray, Database & New Product Development Manager comments, “Over the years we have invested in building the most comprehensive and up-to-date UK classified database of business listings. Compliance with ISO 9001:2000 endorses the fact that we are using a sound quality management system.”
