This may come as bad news for all those with good intentions on Valentine's Day but there is more to buying that perfect floral gift for your loved one than you may think!
Here are the potential pitfalls... and some useful tips to make sure you create the right impression:
- Roses are the ultimate but are they her favourite? In your choice of blooms, show how much you have taken notice of her preferences when it comes to flowers and fragrances.
- When choosing the colours of the flowers, just remember…they must not only be her favourite but they have to go with the carefully chosen décor in her home.
- Your florist will help you with the right combination of flowers and greenery if you are unsure about what to choose. They may be able to show you a catalogue of fixed price arrangements and bouquets so you can see exactly what you get for your money. They may even have some already made up in the shop to make your choice even easier.
- Love may be in the air but practicalities like cost need to have a bearing on your choice. And don't forget that if you want your flowers delivered, there will usually be a charge for this.
- If you are having your flowers delivered, check that the proposed delivery time is suitable and that there will be someone there to accept your flowers.
