February 2005
Men are more romantic than women, a recent survey from Thomson Directories has revealed. Over 3000 men and women took part in the Romantic Survey on ThomsonLocal.com, during January 2005. The results from this survey were not entirely as expected!
Surprisingly, 83% of the men surveyed still want to hold their partner's hand in public! 72% of men believe that men should always open the door for women, compared to 48% of women. In response to the question, when was the last time you gave your partner/ loved one a present, other than Christmas or birthdays, 59% of men had done so less than a month ago, compared to 51% of the women. When asked what was their ideal romantic evening, 63% of the men chose a candle-lit dinner by the sea, the same percent as the women. Although surprisingly 9% of men would rather go to a football match!
