THOMSON LOCAL DIRECTORIES are breaking
their new Television campaign featuring the world's first
ever blue cat, during the commercial break of Monday night's
Coronation Street.
Behind the cool blue star, there is a classic rag to riches
tale. Fame came to him after he was found half starved and
neglected when his new owners gave him sanctuary. Thomson
believes his talents will make him the best known cat on television.
Cool and sophisticated, he is seen 'morphing' out of the famous
blue Thomson Local directory cover, using the same special
effect techniques as are used in blockbuster movies.
Inspiration for the blue cat was due to the high level of
recall by the public of the original Thomson the Cat (featured
in advertisements throughout the eighties). Hence the cat
icon has been revived.
