
Marketing Communications Manager
Salary c.£45K + company car + phone + pension/medical insurance
Reporting to the Head of Marketing the purpose of this role is to plan, brief, track, implement and measure the ROI from all communications activities leading a communications team of 6.
Main tasks include
- Develop & manage B2C and B2B communications activities that will drive usage of Thomson Local products, and customer growth working with creative & media agencies
- Responsible for effective planning and measurement of all communications activities, building an ROI case for quarterly budget reviews. Track all spend to agreed budgets
- Manage operational resource impacts of all communications activities
- Communicate all activities through sales channel of 550 across the UK (field and telesales) producing sales collateral
- Ensure key messages and brand guidelines are adhered to through the organisation
- Lead, develop and measure the performance of the communications team
Experience
- Proven communications experience across all media; must have direct response experience
- Effectively measuring ROI from communications activities - a key responsibility of the role
- Managing agencies and large marketing budgets
- Team management, development and discipline
- Exposure to sales channels
Skills
- Highly numerate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong networking/influencing skills are vital
- The ability to explain complex issues, simply and develop clear messages
- Commercial acumen and empathy with the sales approach
- Excellent attention to detail to drive consistency
- Logical, determined approach to problem solving
Ideally you will be educated to degree level with a minimum of 5 years’ (post qualification) work experience.
You will be confident, passionate, proactive and able to articulate at senior levels. You will present to sales channels (a key asset to drive communications messages) and you will be able to handle change as we are an evolving challenger organisation!

Location - Farnborough, Hampshire
Salary up to £14,290, £14,930 after training per annum plus benefits.
The role involves contacting customers by telephone and updating the database to ensure all business contact details are up to date and accurate. The role involves working to targets.

Sales Communications Executive
6 month contract
£ Competitive salary + benefits Reporting to the Press and Internal Relations Manager and working with the Marketing Department this role will involve:
- Providing on-going marketing support for our Tele Sales channels including developing and copywriting sales aids and associated sales collateral
- Working with external agencies to coordinate the artwork, printing and delivery of all materials
- Supporting the specialist sales channels on trial initiatives to include all supporting communication material
- Working with the sales force and external agencies to assess, and where appropriate, deliver and report on contra opportunities
- Supporting the Communications Team in the delivery of specific PR or campaigns, both internal and external
- Assisting with the implementation and launch of marketing projects and initiatives
- Deliver, track, measure and report on the success of implements opportunities
